You are able to enter Westonbirt from your chosen time until the start of the next timeslot. You are then welcome to stay as long as you like on the day, however please be aware of the closing time for facilities on the day of your visit.
Children under 5 can attend free of charge and do not require a ticket.
Friends of Westonbirt members and reciprocal garden members can pre-book a free arrival timeslot using their valid membership card number when prompted. Members are required to show their valid membership card upon arrival along with timeslot tickets.
Visitors who require a personal assistant to attend with them due to a disability or health condition, should select a personal assistant ticket online when booking.
In addition to our standard event terms and conditions:
- You must present a valid ticket (and membership card if applicable) upon arrival.
- Children's bikes and scooters are welcome if under 70cm from floor to handle bars.
- Dogs are welcome on leads on The Downs and permitted off lead in Silk Wood if well behaved, stay in sight and return when called. Dogs are not permitted in the Old Arboretum.
- All facilities are subject to closure for technical, operational or safety reasons. In addition, opening times for admissions and facilities vary seasonally.
Seasonal Camping at Birchden Wood
Birchden Wood campsite is the perfect place to camp if you're climbing at Harrisons Rocks.
It's a small and basic site, but has all the necessities: toilet block, washing up area, fire pit and car park.
Birchden Wood (the woodland surrounding Harrisons) is owned by Forestry England and has been dedicated as open access land.
Car parking is not included in the price of your camping pitch. This should be paid for separately on site.
The car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.
Pre-bookings must be made by midnight the day before of your visit (subject to availability). Wheelchairs must be returned to the information point by 3.30pm to give us adequate time for thorough cleaning at the end of the day.
Please collect your wheelchair from the information point in front of the Welcome Building. We advise that all visitors check the weather before visiting and bring waterproofs if necessary.

Hire of The Glade gas barbecue, Beechenhurst. Hire cost is £60 Weekdays / £75 Weekends. Drive onto site and follow the road in the direction of flow around to the left. Continue to follow the road all the way along and up and around to the right. As the road bends to the right, a car park entrance will appear on the left through a barrier. Once in this area of the car park, the Glade BBQ can be seen in the grassy, mounded, undercover area. Go Ape will be on your right. BBQ available from 11am until 4pm. Visitors can remain on site from 4pm until site closing providing the gas and BBQ are no longer in use.

Vinyasa Yoga in the Forest.
Time to reconnect to nature with a strong Vinyasa yoga flow in the forest. Vinyasa yoga is a fluid style of yoga that flows between different poses.
Vinyasa yoga can be adapted to suit beginners, however a previous knowledge of yoga would be advisable.

At Westonbirt Arboretum's Community Woodland we are re-planting an area of woodland cleared due to ash dieback. Every step of the woodland regeneration is being carried out by volunteers, community groups and schools.
Come along and help with the project with a day of mulching and tree care.
This day will involve a 20 minute guided walk from the Welcome Building to our planting site where we will carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including mulching around the trees, checking and re-applying their guards and surveying tree health. All equipment and training will be provided and visitors will be able to work within their comfort zones carrying out as many or as little of these tasks as they would like.
There will also be self-led scavenger hunts and craft activities running if you need a break from the physical work. We are happy for everyone to work at their own pace throughout the session.
Suitable for ages 7+.
Cost: Day admission entry to Westonbirt Arboretum + £1 non-refundable booking fee

We are running learning sessions throughout the year for home educated children, aged 7-11.
Using the arboretum’s magnificent surroundings, students will have the opportunity to engage creatively with the natural setting. Each event has a different theme and learning activity for the children to immerse themselves in.

Age Suitability: These events are specifically designed for children aged 7-11 years, however younger and older siblings are welcome to join in.

The session starts with a short hike to find our camp which is hidden in the woods. Spend the morning working together as a family to build a survival shelter from natural materials, then spend the afternoon learning how to create sparks so you can light a fire to toast some marshmallows. We will end the session learning how to use tools safely to make a memento of your day to take home.
Children with special needs are welcome to any of our family events but this day has been designed with children with ASD or SEN in mind.

Join the Bushcraft Team at Sherwood Pines to find out. Use forest materials to build your own shelter to sleep in and cook over the open fire. Learn fire lighting techniques, how to use a knife safely and play games in the dark.

The session will begin at twilight before the illuminated trail opens to the public, making the transition into the dark much easier.
